We are busy renovating a house for a European client looking for a distinctly different approach to their home environment.𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧? A space completely devoid of the usual suspects: 🙅🏻♀️Screens🙅🏻♀️Visible plugs🙅🏻♀️Traditional light fixturesInstead, their emphasis was on 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐦. Our client wanted a space where technology seamlessly integrates, remaining hidden when not in use, promoting a sense of peace and tranquillity in the home.Take a look at the construction progress captured in the images below. We've integrated lighting within ceiling troughs and junctions, allowing for a seamless ceiling aesthetic - maximising the impact of natural light. This has enhanced the space's visual appeal and also promotes a more energising and productive environment.This project resonates deeply with me. It reflects a trend I'm seeing a lot in residential design: 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲. ✅ Light fittings vanish behind walls.✅ Outlets are cleverly concealed.✅ TVs become integrated elements, disappearing when not actively used. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭? Rooms that no longer dominate your vision with large black screens, offering a sense of serenity and escape.This shift towards analogue living is refreshing.
